Curriculum

Our Yang Style curriculum comes down through my teacher, Dashi Steven Baugh, who was first authorized to teach under the famous Taiji master, Marshall Ho'o.

This traditional system includes warm up and joint mobilization techniques, fundamental Qigong (breath/energy exercise), 'Yao Jin' - waist power training, stance training, Tai Chi form, and meditation.

As students advance beyond the short beginning form, they may also learn the longer training sets, Tai Chi sword, fan, pushing hands, and advanced meditation and even martial arts applications.

In this Winter's term we'll be going step-by-step through the first section of the short form and it's auxiliary exercises - giving the student a solid foundation of personal mastery in this basic level of Tai Chi!

We will also, importantly cover the Qigong and Neigong principles contained within each of the movements - offering a depth of understanding that is rare to come by.
